About The Position

Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Assistant for a full-time day-shift position in Norfolk, Virginia. The work location is 850 Kempsville Rd., Norfolk, VA 23502. Available shifts are 0730–1600, 0800–1630, and 0830–1700. The role performs patient phlebotomy while maintaining a high level of customer service. It also involves collecting, labeling, and processing patient specimens for testing, registering patients, entering test data, and monitoring supply levels.

Requirements

High school graduation or equivalent.
Phlebotomy experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
Collect, label, and process patient specimens for testing.
Complete patient registration and test data entry.
Monitor supply levels.
