About The Position

The Clinical Education Coordinator will be responsible for assessing training needs, developing, and evaluating while partnering with all departmental staff organization wide as appropriate. Plans and develops orientation and training in a manner that engages the learner and produces the desired outcomes of improved performance of individual and groups. Utilizes multiple methods to assess learning needs of individuals and groups. Serves as the resource to the department and/or organizational management by participating in quality improvement processes, and suggests innovative ways to use workflow to resolve operational issues/barriers. Evaluates clinical education offerings for effectiveness, transfer of learning and improved performance. Delivers service in a cost-effective and timely manner. Demonstrates commitment to continuous learning for self and others. Works collaboratively with departments to access staff competency.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited school of nursing/ equivalent required
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Ohio
  • BLS required
  • 3 or more years of recent clinical experience required
  • Teaching experience required
  • Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
  • Position may require frequent standing and walking.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred
  • ACLS, PALS, BLS instructor preferred
