About The Position

The Clinical Director manages nursing services and staff for the Surgical Services department, ensuring quality care and full compliance with relevant policies and standards. The role supports the delivery of safe and efficient nursing care for patients and their families and oversees the performance and development of nursing teams.

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline is a regional acute care medical facility offering diagnostic and surgical specialty services, including cardiac, cancer, and stroke care. It is a Level II Trauma Center and a teaching facility affiliated with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of healthcare leadership experience.
• RN license in the state of employment or compact license.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor programs and practices that deliver safe, efficient, quality nursing care for patients and their families.
• Ensure consistent application of nursing services policies and standards throughout the organization.
• Monitor patient outcomes and the quality and effectiveness of nursing care.
• Oversee team performance and identify and address staff training and development needs.
• Apprise medical staff, department heads, and administrators on matters related to nursing services and strategies.
