About The Position

If so, New Haven offers a unique and invaluable opportunity for you to join our team as a Clinical Director! At New Haven, we go beyond the conventional residential treatment model. Located in the tranquil surroundings of Saratoga Springs, Utah, our campus serves as both a treatment center and a nurturing home for adolescent girls aged 14 to 18 and their families. We specialize in addressing complex issues such as traumatic stress, family dynamics, and mental health nuances, providing comprehensive and compassionate care.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Utah licensure authorizing the practice of psychotherapy (LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, PhD or equivalent)
  • Master’s degree required; Doctoral degree or doctoral candidacy strongly preferred (Social Work, Psychology, MFT, or related field)
  • Eligible to supervise counseling interns under state guidelines
  • 3+ years of experience in social services or behavioral health, including at least 2 years working with high‑risk adolescents (ages 12–18)
  • Proven experience leading clinical teams, programs, or departments
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to make complex, high‑stakes decisions using multiple data sources
  • Deep knowledge of DSM diagnoses, therapeutic modalities, adolescent development, and family systems

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with students to address and explore their unique needs, challenges, and emotional well-being.
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions involving students and their parents to foster open communication, resolve family dynamics, and promote healing.
  • Lead specialized group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment among students, encouraging personal growth and interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in and lead weekly interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for students.
  • Engage in regular clinical meetings and supervision sessions with 3-5 clinicians you supervise, contributing to ongoing professional development, sharing insights, and receiving guidance.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapeutic sessions and student progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Actively participate in family weekends, offering therapeutic support to families, and contributing to the overall healing process.
  • Organize and lead two-day camping trips twice a year, providing opportunities for experiential learning, building relationships within families, and creating memorable therapeutic experiences.
