About The Position

Damar is seeking a BCBA or BCaBA for a full-time opportunity supporting its Residential Intensive Autism Services Program. The role is described in the posting as Intensive Autism Supervisor and is responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans, collecting data, providing behavioral intervention in individual treatment, assisting the treatment team with behavior intervention plans, and maintaining documentation of services. The program begins with an evaluation of each child, using observation, parent interviews, and appropriate assessment tools to create an individualized treatment plan. Assessments include medical review of systems; cognitive, academic, psychological, and social functioning; specialized ongoing assessments; educational assessment; and assessment of family support. The position serves on Damar’s interdisciplinary team and provides direct therapy when needed, client-specific training, and support to Intensive Autism Technicians regarding programming and interventions. The role uses data to monitor outcomes, guide Agency initiatives, establish client discharge criteria and long-term goals, and determine the function of maladaptive behavior. It also involves conducting or coordinating assessments every six months for assigned clients, using evidence-based assessments, and applying the seven dimensions of ABA. Essential functions include the physical ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; use office equipment including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations; and communicate effectively. The role requires recognizing and responding appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where clients may display aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors. Regular and acceptable attendance is essential. Functions must be performed satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
