About The Position

The Clinical Assistant performs clinical and administrative functions, assists physicians with patient care, and handles scheduling, charge entry, and billing for services. The role provides patients with information to help them fully utilize and benefit from clinical services. The position may require floating to another office location.

Requirements

At least one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a clinical assistant, or documented evidence of completing an externship in a medical office.
Experience with electrocardiograms (EKGs), vital signs, and electronic medical records (EMRs).
Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited program.
Appropriate certification.
One of the following licenses or credentials: LPN, CMA, RMA, CCMA, or MOA.
American Heart BLS Healthcare Provider credential.
Effective communication with patients, physicians, and co-workers.
Ability to perform Medical Assistant tasks appropriately.
Skill in understanding patient education needs and sharing information effectively with patients and families.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with patient care.

Share information effectively with patients and families to address patient education needs.
Float to another office location when required.
