About The Position

OrthoCarolina is seeking a Clinical Assistant Team Lead for its Mooresville office. This role provides and coordinates orthopedic patient care, performs routine office procedures and testing, participates in patient teaching, communicates effectively with others, and assists physicians and mid-level providers in delivering patient care. The Team Lead also monitors staff performance and compliance, serves as a clinical information resource, and provides guidance on technical questions.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant or nursing program, or hold a college degree in a related field.
Hold current Medical Assistant certification or registration, a current nursing license, or ATC Board certification.
Three years of clinical assistant experience.
For CMA or RMA clinicians, registration or certification through AAMA, NHA, ARMA, AMT, or AMCA is required.
For EMT clinicians, Emergency Medical Technician certification is required.
For ATC clinicians, Board certification as an Athletic Trainer is required.

Responsibilities

Monitor staff behavior and hold staff accountable for assignments, customer service, and applicable technical and organizational policies and procedures.
Serve as a clinical information resource for staff.
Ensure OSHA and other compliance standards are met in each module at each location, including spore testing, emergency equipment checks, and cleaning logs.
Provide guidance on technical questions.
Provide and coordinate orthopedic patient care, including routine office procedures and testing.
Participate in patient teaching and communicate effectively with others.
Assist physicians and mid-level providers in delivering patient care.
