About The Position

Austin Peay State University School of Nursing invites applications for a non-tenure-track, three-year renewable, full-time clinical track nursing position beginning July 30, 2027. The position will have clinical teaching as the focus of the workload with undergraduate nursing students. The School of Nursing is housed in a state-of-the-art technology building that includes smart classrooms and state-of-the-art simulation labs. The program offers a traditional BSN, online RN to BSN, and Graduate Nursing programs.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (CCNE)
• Graduate nursing degree
• Significant clinical experience; minimum 3 years of experience
• Candidate must be eligible for an unencunbered RN license in Tennessee
• Background search will be required of the successful candidate

Nice To Haves

• recent teaching experience preferred
• Nursing specialty experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• 12-15 hours of teaching per week
• Working closely with clinical facilities to ensure student success
• Teaching in a variety of modalities, which may include an online or virtual environment
• Other assignments to meet the needs of the college as determined by the Director of Nursing
