About The Position
The Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Division (Outpatient Clinic) at the Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a clinician-educator faculty position. The role provides clinical services in outpatient, inpatient, and residential settings, including direct patient encounters and tele-psychiatry. The clinician will work closely with residents and medical students as a supervisor and educator. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, rank, qualifications, expertise, and accomplishments. The role is based in Charleston, South Carolina.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
- Ability to learn and use new processes, tools, and equipment as required.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical services in outpatient, inpatient, and residential programs.
- Conduct direct patient encounters and provide tele-psychiatry services.
- Work closely with residents and medical students as a supervisor and educator.
