About The Position

The program is seeking two Clinical Assistant Professors to support its academic and professional initiatives, contributing to the program's national standing. These positions are nine-month appointments with potential for part-time summer teaching based on demand and funding.

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program by start of employment
  • Demonstrated record of effective teaching, supervision, and professional activity
  • Demonstrated strength and flexibility to teach across the CACREP core, including both clinical and didactic courses

Nice To Haves

  • Designation as a Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Designation as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor
  • Designation as a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor
  • Hold a current Certified School Counselor credential in the state of Texas

Responsibilities

  • Providing clinical supervision to master’s and doctoral level students
  • Advising and mentoring students
  • Serving on dissertation committees
  • Collaborating with faculty and affiliated centers/institutes to maintain and enhance the Program's national stature
  • Actively participating on university committees and in professional counseling organizations
  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses
