About The Position

Plymouth State University invites dynamic applicants who are committed to academic excellence and devoted to teaching in a vibrant learning environment to apply for a Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor of Nursing (Non-Tenure-track). Applications are being accepted for a full-time, non-tenure track (9 month) Nursing faculty position teaching pre-licensure undergraduate students in the classroom and clinical areas. The candidate will also be expected to advise undergraduate students and provide service to the university.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Nursing
Two years practice as a registered nurse (for Clinical Assistant)
Four years of practice as a registered nurse (for Clinical Associate)
Five years of relevant college/university level teaching experience (for Clinical Associate)
Mental Health Nursing Background
Desire to work as part of a team in the program, School and within the University
Unencumbered RN license in the State of New Hampshire or eligibility for licensing in New Hampshire
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience using instructional technology and/or developing and delivering effective online instruction

Nice To Haves

Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation
Simulation Experience

Responsibilities

Teach 20-21 credits per year, including any course/credit release.
Teach undergraduate nursing courses incorporating current theory and research with contemporary instructional design.
Participate in the development and delivery of interprofessional education.
Provide clinical instruction and/or oversight for students’ clinical experiences, including evaluation of student achievement and competence.
Direct and debrief students in clinical simulation and labs.
Provide service to the discipline, the School, the University, and the community and/or profession.
