Clinical Area Manager

Inogen•Salt Lake City, UT
•$75,000 - $90,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Clinical Area Manager (CAM) is a field-based clinical role responsible for creating clinical demand for Inogen therapy through physician engagement, clinical education, and qualified referral growth in the Boise/Salt Lake City market. Candidates must live within the assigned territory, preferably in the Boise or Salt Lake City areas. The CAM educates physicians, sleep specialists, care teams, and DME staff, while helping qualified patients reach the appropriate fulfillment path. The role is channel-agnostic: patients choose their DME, and CAMs must not direct or steer patients to a specific DME. DME revenue, pricing, and contracting are owned by the Area Sales Manager. The CAM develops and executes a territory plan using claims and market data, maintains account and referral records in the CRM, and follows referrals through to patient start. The role includes planned overnight travel and requires successful completion of the CAM onboarding program and certification within three months, supported by field coaching from the Lead, Clinical Success Enablement. The expected base salary is $75,000 to $90,000 annually, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Commission Plan. Actual base salary is determined individually based on factors including skills, education, experience, and market location. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) plan with employer contribution and match; vacation and sick leave; and paid volunteer time.
