Clinical Area Manager

Inogen•Indianapolis, IN
•$75,000 - $90,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Clinical Area Manager (CAM) is a field-based clinical role responsible for creating clinical demand for Inogen therapy by educating physicians, sleep specialists, and their care teams, and helping qualified patients reach the appropriate fulfillment path. The role focuses on physician engagement, clinical education, and qualified referral growth within the assigned Indianapolis territory. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory, preferably in the Indianapolis area, to support effective customer coverage and territory management. The CAM is channel-agnostic: the goal is to identify the right therapy for the patient, regardless of which DME the patient chooses. DME revenue, pricing, and contracting are owned by the Area Sales Manager. CAMs complete an onboarding program and earn CAM certification within three months, with field coaching from the Lead, Clinical Success Enablement. This position requires independent territory management, planned overnight travel, and compliance with Inogen policy, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and patient-choice requirements. The expected base salary is $75,000–$90,000 annually, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Commission Plan. Actual base salary is determined individually based on non-discriminatory factors, including skills, education, experience, and market location.
