The Clinical Area Manager (CAM) is a field-based clinical role responsible for creating clinical demand for Inogen therapy through physician engagement, clinical education, and qualified referral growth within the Albuquerque/El Paso territory. Candidates must live within the assigned territory, preferably in the Albuquerque or El Paso areas, to support customer coverage and territory management. The CAM educates physicians, sleep specialists, care teams, and DME branch staff, while helping qualified patients reach an appropriate fulfillment path. The role is channel-agnostic: patients choose their DME, and CAMs must not direct or steer them to a specific provider. DME revenue, pricing, and contracting are owned by the Area Sales Manager. The CAM builds and manages a territory plan using claims and market data, works priority accounts according to defined call frequency, generates and routes qualified referrals under approved rules, and follows referrals through to patient start. The role maintains current CRM records and conducts all work in accordance with Inogen policy, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and patient-choice requirements. CAMs complete an onboarding program and earn certification within three months through observed mastery, performance results, and a written capstone, with field coaching from the Lead, Clinical Success Enablement.
