Clinical Area Manager

Inogen•Boston, MA
•$75,000 - $90,000•Onsite

About The Position

The Clinical Area Manager (CAM) is a field-based clinical role responsible for creating clinical demand for Inogen therapy through physician engagement, clinical education, and qualified referral growth in the Boston market. The CAM educates physicians, sleep specialists, care teams, and DME staff, and helps qualified patients reach the appropriate fulfillment path. The role is channel-agnostic: patients choose their DME, while DME revenue, pricing, and contracting are owned by the Area Sales Manager. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory, preferably in the Boston area. The CAM completes an onboarding program and earns CAM certification within three months, with field coaching from the Lead, Clinical Success Enablement. The role requires clinical knowledge of respiratory, oxygen, or sleep therapy; strong physician and care-team engagement; territory planning and CRM proficiency; and the ability to manage the territory independently, including planned overnight travel. Activities must comply with Inogen policy, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and patient-choice requirements.

  • Coachability, including seeking feedback and acting on it.
  • Strong integrity and sound judgment in a regulated environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
