About The Position

Savannah Vascular Institute, a large vascular surgery physician group practice, is seeking an LPN to provide clinic and triage support to surgeons in their daily clinical practice. The role includes phone triage for vascular patients, patient education and counseling under physician direction, and assistance with examinations and procedures. The position is day shift, Monday through Friday, with no call or weekends, and may include occasional day travel to satellite offices.

Requirements

• BCLS certification is required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Enjoy working with geriatric patients.

Nice To Haves

• Wound care experience.
• EMR software experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform phone triage for vascular patients, including pre- and postsurgical questions, medication refills, wound complications, FMLA/disability paperwork, and prior authorizations.
• Provide patient education and counseling under the direction of the physician.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
