About The Position

The Arizona Humane Society is seeking a full time Clinic Supervisor to join our team. As the Sunnyslope Clinic Supervisor, you will lead all operational aspects of the full-service and spay/neuter clinic while embodying AHS's core values of Innovation, Compassion, and Excellence. This is a hands-on role where you'll work alongside your team to model high-quality patient care, improve efficiency, and ensure seamless coordination across departments. You will partner closely with the Clinic Manager to implement policies and procedures, maintain compliance with Humane Alliance standards and federal/state regulations, and oversee accurate medical records, reporting, and controlled substance protocols. In this role, you will coordinate daily clinic operations, train and support veterinary technicians, and maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. You'll communicate effectively with staff and clients, relay medical information, and ensure proper documentation of treatments. Success in this position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while delivering compassionate care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma / GED preferred
  • Graduation from technical school preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a veterinary hospital or shelter medicine.
  • Two years of supervisory or leadership experience in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or comparable environment.
  • Must be able to fulfill all duties of a Vet Tech II or CVT with proficiency in: phlebotomy, immunology, parasitology, endocrinology, anesthesia, pharmacology, euthanasia, and perform safe and humane animal handling.
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management, adaptability, judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and foster positive attitudes in a team-oriented environment.
  • Work well both independently and cooperatively as part of the team.
  • Must work collaboratively with clinic Leadership, Veterinarians, and Staff.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and background screening to be compliant with DEA requirements for dispensing controlled drugs.
