About The Position

The Clinic Registration Rep II serves as a point of contact for patients inside and outside the clinic. Under close supervision, the role collects and analyzes demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical information needed to register patients and book appointments. The position performs routine patient access activities to support efficient operations, timely reimbursement, patient satisfaction, and teamwork, including work related to referrals and/or authorizations. The incumbent is expected to further Enloe Health’s mission, consistently demonstrate its core values, and follow regulatory requirements and the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or at least 6 months of experience working in a medical office environment performing general clerical duties, including data collection, data entry, typing, customer relations, and filing.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn patient access work routines.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Good customer service and time management skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office equipment.
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Surgical office experience.
• Insurance verification experience.
• Knowledge of obtaining insurance authorizations.
• Knowledge of current CPT procedure codes and ICD diagnosis coding.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze required patient demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical information.
• Register patients and book appointments under close supervision.
• Perform routine patient access activities to facilitate efficient operations, expeditious reimbursement, and optimal consumer satisfaction.
• Support referrals and/or authorizations.
