About The Position

Circana is hiring a Client Insights Senior Manager II to support Japan Tobacco Company in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role is described as hybrid, with onsite work 3–5 days a week; the location section also specifies on-site in Raleigh. The position uses data, analytics, and insights to inform growth strategy and address important business issues. The successful candidate will bring relevant market research, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or marketing services experience, and an interest in analyzing data to generate actionable insights about consumers, shoppers, retailers, and in-market performance. Tobacco or Total Nicotine experience is beneficial. The role combines advanced analysis, consultative selling, client partnership, presentation, and strategic thinking. It involves understanding client needs, developing and delivering fact-based analyses, connecting client needs to Circana capabilities, and helping deliver successful projects and business outcomes. The salary range is $88,000–$120,000, and the position is also eligible for bonus pay. Circana offers eligible employees paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a 401(k).

Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, insights, or a related function with a Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG), Research, or Marketing Services company.
Experience with Circana/IRI/NPD or other syndicated data solutions such as NielsenIQ.
Ability to use and integrate multiple data sources to address client business issues with data-driven findings and implications.
Prior experience partnering successfully with cross-functional teams to achieve intended business outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Strong analytical, storytelling, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Conceive, manage, and deliver fact-based analyses that provide clients with clear, actionable insights to inform strategy.
Understand client needs and desired outcomes, asking discovery and scoping questions as appropriate.
Develop analysis project plans and structure client deliverables around mutually beneficial outcomes.
Use different data sets and metrics to respond to client issues with clear, fact-based findings.
Help teammates improve their deliverables and contribute to the team’s thought leadership.
Identify when Circana subject matter experts can help address client needs and partner with colleagues and clients to pursue opportunities.
Build knowledge of clients, marketplace dynamics, and Circana capabilities to identify, pursue, and close business opportunities.
Help target and sell services that address expressed and unexpressed client needs, and explore root causes rather than symptoms.
Work with cross-functional partners to develop solutions that connect client needs to Circana capabilities and support clear, compelling proposals.
Help manage the selling process and coordinate Circana subject matter experts to support successful project delivery.
Build trust with clients, cross-functional partners, and stakeholders, and serve as a domain expert and valued business partner.
Stay informed about industry trends and their potential effects on clients, consumers, shoppers, and competitors.
Educate clients about analytic methods, shape their thinking, and influence their decisions.
Adapt communication to the appropriate audience, level, or function.
Produce compelling business analyses with well-supported findings and actionable insights for high-value outcomes.
