About The Position

The Client Care Specialist serves as an ambassador of the client experience, providing supportive assistance to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and clean environment. The role conducts scheduled or assigned dorm and room checks and monitors, enforces, and documents relevant activities, including compliance with center rules, behavior, and incident and accident reporting. The specialist also de-escalates, mediates, and resolves disputes to prevent and reduce tension in the facility.

Responsibilities

• Support Chapman Partnership’s mission, vision, values, and guiding principles to empower clients to overcome homelessness and achieve and maintain long-term self-sufficiency.
• Create an environment where clients feel welcomed, comfortable, and supported.
• Monitor assigned dorms for policy adherence, client needs, room and bed assignments, laundry, bed count, permitted hours, and random sweeps of personal belongings.
• Maintain client care centers of excellence and foster continuous improvement in monitoring, assisting, and reporting.
• Encourage cooperation to promote cleanliness, safety, and accountability.
• Assist clients with immediate needs and requests and provide guidance on proper procedures.
• Ensure adequate living standards and coordinate needs to meet them, as applicable.
• Identify, document, and report current or potential client behavioral issues; complete incident, accident, and behavior reports and distribute them according to established protocol.
• Assist with client transportation to and from medical and mental health appointments, move-outs, and other applicable activities, as directed by management or established protocols.
• Assist with staff transportation as directed by management or established protocols.
• Inspect vehicles for proper working condition before travel and report maintenance needs as necessary.
• Ensure ancillary services, including client mail and basic-needs supplies and clothing distribution, are provided in a timely manner according to established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Perform other assignments or tasks as deemed necessary.
