About The Position

AECOM’s Government Business Line is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Account Sr Manager to strengthen its partnership with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). AECOM has a longstanding, multifaceted relationship with DHS and provides services supporting the department’s mission across multiple components. The Client Account Sr Manager serves as a primary contact and leader for AECOM’s relationship with one or more large accounts, or as part of a team supporting a key global or regional account. The role is responsible for developing, growing, and sustaining AECOM’s business with assigned accounts, coordinating interactions with clients, ensuring consistently high-quality service, and resolving delivery issues or conflicts. The position is hybrid, combining remote and on-site work, and can be based in Arlington, Virginia; Baltimore or Germantown, Maryland; or Washington, D.C., among other locations. The role develops others by connecting teams to the client’s vision, coaching colleagues to build organizational relationships, and supporting the attraction and retention of business development talent. It is accountable for client-portfolio business objectives, monitoring project delivery and quality, managing delivery risks, setting account goals and strategies, and identifying resourcing needs. The manager builds strong client and internal networks, represents AECOM with clients, identifies and advances business opportunities, coordinates significant pursuits and agreement renewals or extensions, and works across teams to reach sound commercial terms while balancing client and AECOM priorities. The role also champions ethical and safe practices and encourages adoption of initiatives such as ESG and digitalization. The position requires U.S. citizenship. AECOM does not offer relocation assistance or per diem for this position. This posting is for a current vacancy, and AECOM intends to fill the position no sooner than April 16, 2027.
