This position is responsible for performing clerical and administrative functions within Custodial Operations, specifically on the AM Shift. The role involves ensuring accuracy and completeness in all tasks, directing lower-level clerks, and assisting in the development and implementation of office practices and procedures. The Clerk III will also be responsible for maintaining computer record-keeping systems, handling visitor assistance, managing correspondence, and preparing various reports. Decision-making regarding the priority and sequencing of job duties is also a key aspect of this role. The position requires the ability to work with limited direct supervision and maintain a constant state of alertness and safety awareness. Additionally, the role involves assisting with new hire paperwork, coordinating personnel and administrative forms, and contributing to quality control data input and analysis. The Clerk III will also assist with payroll functions, including processing timesheets and analyzing payroll reports. This position is designated as essential personnel, meaning employees may be required to remain at their work location or report to work during institutional emergencies.
