About The Position

The Clerk II supports warehouse operations at GXO’s Clayton, Indiana location. The role works the first shift, Tuesday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Responsibilities include handling materials, completing packaging, routing, and systems work accurately, supporting Lean warehousing activities, following established procedures, maintaining safety, and participating in cross-functional team activities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and more than 75 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to handle or manage tools or equipment.
• Ability to adjust focus and demonstrate close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision.
• Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, and other equipment.
• Complete packaging, routing, and systems work quickly and accurately.
• Participate in and guide the team in the Lean warehousing system on the floor.
• Complete tasks by following established procedures.
• Ensure all work is performed safely.
• Participate in stand-up activities with cross-functional teams.
