About The Position

GXO is seeking a Clerk II to support warehouse operations and help provide supply chain solutions to customers. The role involves loading and unloading materials, completing packaging, routing, and systems work accurately and promptly, and contributing to the Lean warehousing system and cross-functional team activities. The position is scheduled for the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The stated hourly pay rate is $26.50 for work performed in California; the rate may change. The job requires frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of more than 75 pounds, as well as other physical activities and the ability to work in hot or cold warehouse environments. Applicants receiving a conditional offer may be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Experience using a handheld scanner.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, push, and pull.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods.
• Ability to handle or manage tools or equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and adjust focus.
• Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, with possible overtime when needed.
• Two years of experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials using hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, and other equipment.
• Complete packaging, routing, and systems work quickly and accurately.
• Participate in and guide the team in the Lean warehousing system on the floor.
• Complete tasks according to established procedures.
• Ensure all work is performed safely.
• Participate in stand-up activities with cross-functional teams.
