About The Position

This position provides essential clerical support that helps the administrative office operate smoothly and efficiently. The role focuses on organizing information, supporting communication, and assisting staff across the institution. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties: Document Preparation: Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and general items through typing, copying, scanning, emailing, mailing, and filing Meeting Support: Attend meetings to take minutes and distribute information to the appropriate staff Mail Handling: Receive and sort incoming mail and manage emails to ensure staff receive timely information Phone Coverage: Answer incoming calls, provide information within policy, take messages, and direct callers to the correct staff Data Entry: Enter and maintain information in DOC applications such as APR, DOCNet, and Mainframe systems Supply Management: Order office supplies and support switchboard coverage as needed.

Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must possess keyboarding skills to meet standards for speed and accuracy.
  • Must understand how to efficiently use and navigate a personal computer.
  • Must have the ability to work with various office equipment such as: scanner, printer, fax machine, computer, tablet, telephone, personal communication devices etc.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
