Requirements

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Be eligible for selection in accordance with merit system employment regulations.

  • Meritorious service is defined as (a) the absence of any discipline above the level of written reprimand during the 12 months preceding the closing date of the posting, and (b) the last regular or probationary performance evaluation showing an overall rating of satisfactory or higher.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of one year in the next lower class(es) by the posting closing date with no break in service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform typing, copying, scanning, distributing documents, and preparing reports for education staff
  • Update course binders, manage student files, process transcripts, and maintain documentation for reviews
  • Support graduation, registration, advisory committee meetings, fairs, and orientations by preparing materials and organizing information
  • Scan and upload student records, submit documentation into CWDS, complete wage verifications, and manage required forms
  • Arrange travel, organize surveys, maintain emergency plans, monitor equipment, and distribute faxed materials
  • Send graduate surveys, update contact lists, manage lockers, maintain manuals, and assist with timekeeping duties
