About The Position

The Department of Environmental Protection is seeking candidates for a Clerical Assistant 2 (Limited Term) position. This position supports teams that safeguard natural resources across the Commonwealth. Your work will keep information organized, clear, and easy to find. You will make a positive difference by helping advance the agency mission. This position plays a key role in keeping agency records organized, accurate, and ready for use by staff and the public. Your work supports environmental protection efforts across the Commonwealth.

Requirements

• Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration)
• Graduation from high school
• An equivalent combination of experience and training
• Meet the PA residency requirement
• Be able to perform essential job functions

Nice To Haves

• Experienced and detail-oriented administrative professional with strong communication and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Aid with handling annual fee and permit application checks
• Receive reports through the Public Uploading system and reassign them to the responsible manager
• Maintain and update files in preparation of a scanning project located in the Southwest Regional Office
• Prepare documents for conversion to digital records, create OnBase start sheets, and operate scanners and microfiche equipment
• Input file data, update file names, verify uploads, and use Microsoft Office tools to document and communicate progress
• Organize, file, and locate documents for reviews and requests following agency procedures
