About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized TJ Maxx store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store and supports other store areas as needed. The role also follows customer-experience practices, company policies, health and safety requirements, labor laws, and operational and loss-prevention standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Refill essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End as part of health and safety practices.
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, signage, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Support customer-experience practices with internal and external customers and contribute to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
