About The Position

Under the close supervision of the General Service Manager, the Cleaning/Utility Person maintains buildings and grounds by caring for components, vehicles, forklifts, grounds, and shop floors. The role includes driving trucks or vans for deliveries and pickups, maintaining and cleaning vehicles, securing buildings and grounds, completing routine maintenance and troubleshooting, and helping maintain a safe, clean work environment. The position is based in Waipahu, in the Service department of the HPC division.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
PC skills.
Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in writing.
Forklift certification, or ability to become certified within 60 days.
Ability to multitask and complete assignments.
Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds daily, with frequent exertion.

Responsibilities

Complete deliveries and pickups by driving a truck or van to and from assigned locations.
Wash, clean, and detail vehicles; keep them fueled; complete preventative maintenance requirements; and arrange for repairs.
Secure buildings and grounds at the end of the day.
Maintain quality service by following organizational standards.
Keep buildings, grounds, components, vehicles, and work areas neat and organized while complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain buildings and grounds by completing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
Check, inspect, and verify shipments.
Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
