About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a motivated, safety-focused Utility Person to support daily quarry operations. The role assists with maintenance, housekeeping, production support, and general site activities that contribute to a safe and efficient operation. The position involves working primarily around moving mechanical equipment and in inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.

The successful candidate must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, and working outdoors.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn maintenance and quarry operations tasks.
• Dependable team player with a strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform site housekeeping and cleanup to maintain a safe, organized quarry environment.
• Operate a haul truck to move materials from the pit to the plant safely and efficiently in support of production.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections to support operational reliability.
• Move materials, tools, and supplies as needed to support production activities.
• Follow safety, environmental, and operating procedures while contributing to team goals.
