About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows. The associate also maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, supports customer experience practices, and follows company policies for health and safety, merchandising, operations, and loss prevention. The role is cross-trained to support multiple store areas and responds to Front End coverage needs. The starting pay range is USD $15.92 to $16.42 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink reduction, in accordance with company guidelines and policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including Associate meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
