About The Position

The Seasonal Part-Time Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with particular focus on floor care. The role involves operating floor-care equipment and performing cleaning tasks throughout the store while following operational, merchandising, loss-prevention, health, and safety standards. The associate is cross-trained in multiple store areas to help meet business needs and support front-end coverage. The associate models established customer-service practices and contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. This position also supports store recovery, maintains cleanliness and organization across sales and non-sales areas, communicates effectively with management and colleagues, and follows company policies, including labor and break-period requirements. Other duties may be assigned.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and support front-end coverage needs.
Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
