About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing cleaning tasks throughout the store, while adhering to operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards. Associates are cross-trained across store areas to support business needs and customer service.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor care standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Refill essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
