About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The role is cross-trained to support other store areas and business needs, including the front end, backroom, and sales floor. The associate follows company policies and standards for customer experience, health and safety, merchandising, loss prevention, labor practices, and shrink reduction. They communicate with management and associates, respond to coverage needs, support store recovery, and help maintain a safe and positive store environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards and operate and maintain the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning of glass and windows.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the backroom, front end, and sales floor.
Support and respond to front-end coverage needs.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Role-model customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
