About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. Duties include operating the scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and dusting; and spot-cleaning glass and windows. The associate maintains cleanliness, organizational, recovery, and floor-care standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms. The role supports a positive customer experience and store culture, follows company health and safety, merchandising, operational, and loss-prevention policies, and helps meet business needs by cross-training in other store areas. The associate may support Front End coverage, participate in store recovery, communicate with management and associates, and perform other duties as assigned.

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care.
Operate the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
Uphold the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including associate meal and break-period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Role-model customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Perform other duties as assigned.
