About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing a range of cleaning tasks, while meeting store cleanliness, organization, safety, merchandising, operational, and loss-prevention standards. Associates are cross-trained in multiple store areas and help support business needs, including Front End coverage.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company Health and Safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction measures.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
