About The Position

The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. The associate follows health and safety, operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention policies; supports customer experience practices; and may be cross-trained across store areas to respond to business needs. The role also involves communicating effectively with management and coworkers, participating in safety awareness, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer; dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the sales floor, single queue, associate lounge, backroom, and restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the lounge, restrooms, and front end.
• Cross-train in other store areas, such as the backroom, front end, and sales floor, and support front-end coverage needs.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
