About The Position

Janitors keep assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, clean and orderly. The Cleaner works successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization; follows verbal and written instructions; and uses basic communication skills to explain how to complete a task. The role includes vacuuming, edging, dusting, cleaning and stocking restrooms and breakrooms, window cleaning, emptying and transporting trash to the proper disposal area, and sweeping and mopping floors. Other duties may be assigned. Employees must follow safety rules and procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain a professional appearance and conduct, and comply with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies. HSEQ responsibilities include participating in training, maintaining environmental responsibility and quality standards, and reporting potential hazards or compliance concerns. The position works Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The listed hourly pay range is $22.00 to $22.50. Requirements

No previous cleaning experience is required.
Understand and comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Frequently lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift 0–10 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.

Responsibilities

Keep assigned areas clean and orderly.
Vacuum and edge floors.
Dust surfaces.
Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms.
Clean windows.
Empty trash and transport it to the proper disposal area.
Sweep and mop floors.
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, and use proper personal protective equipment.
Perform work assignments as part of a team and maintain a clean work area.
Follow company procedures, policies, and rules; take direction and respond to supervision.
Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers.
Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items.
Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in team meetings.
Participate in HSEQ training, maintain environmental responsibility and quality standards, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
