About The Position

Janitors keep assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, in clean and orderly condition. The Cleaner works successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization. The role requires understanding and following verbal and written instructions and explaining how to complete a task using basic communication skills. The position supports a positive guest experience, maintains safety and quality standards, and collaborates with teammates and other internal departments. No previous cleaning experience is required. The work may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
Understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate using basic communication skills.
Be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Be able to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
Frequently lift 0–25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Meet the stated physical demands, including standing, walking, handling and gripping, reaching, pushing and pulling, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, and use proper personal protective equipment.
Perform work assignments as part of a team and maintain a clean work area.
Follow company procedures, policies, and rules; take direction and respond to supervision.
Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers.
Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items.
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, and contribute to customer service and satisfaction.
Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in team meetings.
Vacuum and edge floors.
Dust assigned areas.
Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms.
Clean windows.
Empty trash and transport it to the proper disposal area.
Sweep and mop floors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures, participate in HSEQ training, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
