About The Position

The Cleaner keeps assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, clean and orderly. The role involves working successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization; understanding and following verbal and written instructions; and explaining how to complete tasks using basic communication skills. The Cleaner performs routine cleaning duties, supports the shift lead with punch-list items, and may fill in during staff shortages or perform other duties as assigned. Employees must follow company procedures and HSEQ policies, use appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain a professional appearance and conduct, and provide quality customer service. Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. The position requires extended periods of standing, frequent walking, repetitive tasks, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

No previous cleaning experience is required.

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions and explain task completion using basic communication skills.
Be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Be able to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
Frequently lift 0–25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Meet the described physical demands, including frequent walking and periods of standing, handling and grasping, reaching, pushing or pulling, and occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures, including HSEQ requirements.
Perform work assignments as part of a team and maintain a clean work area.
Follow company procedures, policies, and rules; take direction and respond to supervision.
Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co-workers, managers, and customers.
Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items.
Use proper personal protective equipment and maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
Support customer service and satisfaction.
Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in team meetings.
Vacuum and edge floors.
Dust assigned areas.
Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms.
Clean windows.
Empty trash and transport it to the proper disposal area.
Sweep and mop floors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in HSEQ training and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
