Full-Time Cleaner
About The Position
The Cleaner maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by performing routine janitorial services at assigned locations. The role ensures cleaning tasks meet company standards, client expectations, and safety procedures while contributing to a positive and professional work environment. Work may take place in warehouse, retail, grocery, or distribution environments, and shifts may vary based on business needs. The position includes routine cleaning and sanitation of floors, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas; care and proper storage of cleaning equipment and supplies; and accurate completion of assigned checklists and documentation. The Cleaner reports maintenance concerns, safety hazards, supply shortages, equipment issues, accidents, and other facility concerns to a supervisor. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

- Reliability, dependability, punctuality, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to work night shifts and travel to assigned work locations.
- Must be willing to work varying shifts based on business needs.
- Continually stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, buffers, pallet jacks, and other equipment as required.
- Hearing and vision sufficient to safely perform job duties.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned floors, restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize surfaces, and empty trash receptacles.
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces according to company standards.
- Replenish restroom and facility supplies and follow established cleaning schedules.
- Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, safety hazards, supply shortages, accidents, and facility concerns to a supervisor.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures, handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment properly, and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Keep emergency exits, eyewash stations, and walkways clear and accessible.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and promptly report malfunctions.
- Clean and maintain assigned equipment after each shift, including draining, cleaning, and charging equipment as required.
- Return tools, equipment, wet floor signs, mop buckets, brooms, and supplies to designated storage areas; safely return propane tanks to the designated storage cage when applicable.
- Keep janitorial closets clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Complete assigned checklists and documentation accurately.
- Communicate daily assignments and operational concerns to supervisors and team members.
- Participate in walkthroughs with store management when requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
