About The Position

Janitors keep assigned areas, such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings, in clean and orderly condition. The Cleaner works successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization. The role requires understanding and following verbal and written instructions and explaining how to complete tasks using basic communication skills. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at an hourly pay rate of $19. This includes following safety protocols, maintaining environmental responsibility, upholding quality standards, participating in HSEQ training, and reporting potential hazards or compliance concerns. Employment may be contingent upon successfully completing a background check and, where applicable, drug and/or alcohol screening, in accordance with applicable laws and company requirements.

Requirements

No previous cleaning experience is required.
Understand and comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate basic task-related information.
Be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Be able to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
Frequently lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Perform work assignments as part of a team and maintain a clean work area.
Follow company procedures, policies, and rules; take direction and respond to supervision.
Communicate professionally with the lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers.
Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items.
Use proper personal protective equipment and maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
Provide customer service and contribute to customer satisfaction.
Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in team meetings.
Vacuum and edge floors; dust assigned areas.
Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms.
Clean windows; empty trash and transport it to the proper disposal area.
Sweep and mop floors.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Participate in HSEQ training and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
