About The Position

The Cleaner helps provide club members with a clean, sanitized, and safe fitness environment. This role completes daily cleaning tasks throughout the club, maintains supplies, reports broken or missing amenities and equipment to the Club Manager, and assists members with check-in, sales, and Black Card spa services. The position is full-time and located at the Altoona, Pennsylvania club. Starting pay is $12 per hour, with hourly increases at 180 days, one year, and every six months thereafter based on the employee’s anniversary date.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Continual standing and walking during the shift.
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during the shift.
• Continual reaching with hands, fingers, and arms during the shift.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during the shift.

Nice To Haves

• Prior custodial experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete the daily cleaning checklist thoroughly to ensure all tasks are finished.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and the gym floor.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restrooms, showers, and locker areas.
• Dispose of trash properly.
• Stock supplies throughout the club and in locker rooms.
• Report broken or missing amenities or equipment, including toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, and gym equipment, to the Club Manager.
• Assist members with check-in, sales, and Black Card spa services.
