About The Position

ISS is hiring a full-time Cleaner to keep assigned areas—such as offices, commercial or industrial spaces, and institutional buildings—clean and orderly. The Cleaner works with fellow employees, clients, and people throughout the organization; follows verbal and written instructions; and communicates how to complete tasks using basic communication skills. The role supports shift leads with punch-list items, may fill in during staff shortages, and may perform other duties as assigned. The position requires a commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and customer service. Employees must follow company policies and procedures, use appropriate personal protective equipment, maintain a professional appearance and conduct, and comply with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) requirements. HSEQ responsibilities include participating in training and reporting potential hazards or compliance concerns. The work may involve evenings, weekends, or holidays. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Employment may be contingent on successfully completing a background check and, where applicable, drug and/or alcohol screening in accordance with applicable laws and company requirements.

Requirements

No previous cleaning experience is required.

Responsibilities

Vacuum and edge floors.
Dust assigned areas.
Clean and stock restrooms and breakrooms.
Clean windows.
Empty trash and transport it to the proper disposal area.
Sweep and mop floors.
Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures and use proper personal protective equipment.
Perform work assignments as part of a team and maintain a clean work area.
Follow company procedures, policies, and rules; take direction and respond to supervision.
Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers.
Fill in during staff shortages and support the shift lead in completing punch-list items.
Coordinate activities with other internal departments and participate in team meetings.
Adhere to HSEQ policies and procedures, participate in HSEQ training, and report potential hazards or compliance concerns.
Perform other duties as assigned.
