About The Position

The University Registrar’s Office scheduling team is seeking a Classroom Facilities Coordinator to support classroom and computer lab readiness. The position inspects more than 100 general classrooms and computer labs, identifies needed repairs, counts student seats, checks instructor furniture and board supplies, coordinates furniture replacement with the warehouse, and maintains classroom inventory. Inspections take place throughout the semester, especially during semester breaks and before semesters begin, to help ensure classrooms are functionally equipped for classes. This is a part-time, fixed-term, in-person, on-campus staff position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, expected to continue through July 2028. The role requires successful completion of a pre-employment background check. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States; Carnegie Mellon University will not sponsor an employment visa for this opportunity. Benefits-eligible employees may receive medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance; retirement savings with employer contributions; tuition benefits; paid time off and observed holidays; life and accidental death and disability insurance; a free Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus pass; access to a Family Concierge Team for childcare navigation; and fitness center access.
