About The Position

Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager and Dispatch Coordinator, the Class A Interstate Commercial Truck Driver completes daily transportation assignments, including timely pickup and delivery of materials. The driver assists with loading and unloading as needed and may deliver to Bedrosians branches or directly to customers. The role requires compliance with federal and company safety procedures, accurate driving logs and paperwork, and reliable attendance.

Requirements

At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
Excellent attendance at current or previous employment.
Valid Class A CDL.
Valid medical card.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and good time-management skills.
Good customer-service and communication skills.
Ability to follow written and oral directions.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
Ability to maintain an accurate log book and ensure safety procedures are followed.
Must pass a DOT drug test, a drug/alcohol test, a background check, a motor vehicle report, a basic physical test, and a Bedrosians road test.

Responsibilities

Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Complete deliveries successfully and on time.
Load and unload materials as needed.
Work with the Dispatch Coordinator to ensure successful completion of deliveries.
Follow federal and company safety procedures, including applicable FMCSA requirements and Hours of Service rules.
Complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
Demonstrate proper driving habits and follow safety procedures.
Maintain an accurate log book and other required paperwork.
Organize and submit required paperwork to the Dispatch Coordinator.
Work within the company's policies, procedures, goals, and directives.
Perform other duties required of the position.
