About The Position

Family-owned business seeking a dependable Class A driver to make scheduled long-distance deliveries between Los Angeles and Fresno, the Bay Area and Fresno, and Sacramento and Fresno. Drivers are home nightly and home every weekend. The position is full-time, four to five days per week, with a set schedule. The driver represents the company at every delivery and is expected to act professionally. The company describes the role as a career and emphasizes long-term employment.

The driver will operate late-model Volvo 670/760 trucks with 53-foot dry and curtain vans. Routes use no-touch drops, and a power pallet jack is provided. The company has three total drivers and is hiring to replace a retiring employee. It offers excellent pay and benefits, including insurance and a 401(k). Requirements

• Clean driving record and DMV record.
• At least 3 years of driving experience.
• Provide a current MVR.
• Provide a medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Record cargo deliveries.
• Refuel and clean the vehicle.
• Report road incidents to the dispatcher.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Inspect trucks and record issues.
• Follow accident procedures.
• Keep an activity log and log hours.
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
• Represent the company professionally at each delivery.
