About The Position

Under the supervision of the Transportation Manager and Dispatch Coordinator, the Class A Interstate Commercial Truck Driver performs daily transportation assignments and is responsible for completing pick-up and delivery assignments successfully and on time. The driver may deliver to company branches or directly to customers and assists with loading and unloading materials as needed. Requirements

At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
Excellent attendance at current or previous employment.
Valid Class A CDL.
Valid TWIC card.
Valid medical card.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and good time-management skills.
Good customer-service and communication skills.
Ability to follow written and oral directions.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow company policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.
Ability to ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Must pass a DOT drug test and a drug/alcohol test.
Must pass a background check and motor vehicle report.
Must pass a basic physical test and a Bedrosians road test.

Responsibilities

Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Complete deliveries successfully and on time.
Load and unload materials.
Work with the Dispatch Coordinator to ensure successful completion of deliveries.
Follow federal and company safety procedures.
Comply with FMCSA requirements, the Hours of Service manual, and/or the Electronic Logging Device system requirements.
Complete Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) as required by the FMCSA.
Demonstrate proper driving habits.
Maintain accurate paperwork and log books.
Organize and submit required paperwork to the Dispatch Coordinator.
Work within the company's policies, procedures, goals, and directives.
Perform other duties required of the position.
