Class A Truck Driver
About The Position
Super King is hiring a Class A Truck Driver to transport produce daily between its warehouse and market locations, helping ensure customer deliveries arrive on time. The role may also involve loading and unloading trucks, with or without helpers, making minor mechanical repairs, and keeping trucks in good working order. When not performing driving duties, the employee performs warehouse duties. The position requires safe operation and inspection of truck equipment, compliance with applicable state and federal requirements, and maintaining certifications required by the Department of Transportation, OSHA, and company safety programs. Work may involve fluctuating temperatures, prolonged standing, and frequent lifting. Flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, are required.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Driver's License.
- Maintain all required certifications for the Department of Transportation, OSHA, and company safety programs.
- Able to work for prolonged periods in environments with fluctuating temperature ranges.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods.
- Able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
- Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and follow established safety guidelines and procedures.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
- Load and unload trucks using a forklift and/or power pallet jack.
- Maintain a truck log according to state and federal regulations.
- Perform warehouse duties when not involved in driver duties.
- Check merchandise against receiving tickets.
- Ensure compliance with clearance and load limits for roads, bridges, and overhead obstructions.
- Maintain certifications required by the Department of Transportation, OSHA, and company safety programs.
- Perform other duties as required or requested by management.
- Transport produce between the warehouse and Super King Market locations.
- Make minor mechanical repairs and keep trucks in good working order, as needed.
