About The Position

California Sierra Express is hiring an experienced Class A CDL Driver for its Hayward operation. This full-time day-shift position performs time-sensitive pickups and deliveries throughout the greater Bay Area for domestic and international freight-forwarding customers. Drivers operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment and work closely with the operations team to move freight safely and professionally. The regular schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off. Routes vary according to freight volume and customer needs and may take approximately 10–12 hours to complete. The role involves local Bay Area routes and operation of 53-foot tractor-trailers.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL.
At least 2 years of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer driving experience.
Experience operating 53-foot tractor-trailers.
Safe driving record.
Ability to work a consistent Sunday–Thursday day schedule.
Ability to safely handle freight when required.
Ability to meet DOT, FMCSA, TSA, company, insurance, background-screening, and drug-testing requirements.

Nice To Haves

Hazmat endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate Class A tractor-trailer equipment on assigned routes.
Complete time-sensitive pickups and deliveries.
Load, unload, and secure freight as required.
Verify and report freight dimensions and weights.
Complete vehicle inspections, manifests, and required driver documentation.
Provide professional service at customer and freight facilities.
Follow company safety policies and applicable DOT, FMCSA, TSA, and OSHA requirements.
Maintain dependable and consistent attendance.
